Ans. Two Roads separated and went in different direction in a yellow wood. I was sorry that I could not travel the both roads, because I was one traveler and I stood there for a long time I look down one road as for as I could . I saw that the two roads diverged and bent in the mass of bushes and plants under tree.
Q.1. What does the word ‘Diverged’ mean here?
Ans . Here the word means separated and went in different direction.
Q.2.Why could the poet not travel on the both roads?
Ans. The poet could not travel both road because he was the only one traveler.

Ans. He found two diverging roads.

Ans. it had a better claim because it had more grass and was unused.

Ans. The road signifies that there is choice available .you have to make a decision as to which alternative to select.

Ans. He opted for the other road because it was less travelled. The idea of deviating from the rut has an attraction in itself.
Q.8.what is the traveller’s justification when he doubts that he would return to take the ‘first’ road?
Ans. The traveler is justified in his doubt. The justification is that once he has taken the other road he will have to go on and on. He will not get an opportunity to come back and take the first road.
